Glutathione guide

Glutathione is a three-amino-acid antioxidant studied for its metabolism and handling of sulfur-containing compounds.[2] PinPoint includes subcutaneous and intramuscular recording routes but identifies the route extrapolation in its model.[1]

Read the record in context

The glutathione card uses the total-glutathione reference, not the separately reported reduced-glutathione measurement. Its 1,200 mg catalog package is comparatively large, but mass alone cannot compare clinical roles across compounds. The human reference is intravenous despite the app's other recording routes.[1]

What the research says

The cited study investigated intravenous glutathione in ten healthy volunteers. Researchers measured the time course of glutathione and related sulfur-containing compounds in plasma and urine. The question was how infused glutathione affected availability of cysteine equivalents, rather than whether a retail injectable product improved general wellness.[2]

Plasma glutathione rose after infusion and declined with a reported mean half-life of approximately 14 minutes. Cysteine and total cyst(e)ine followed different patterns, while urinary excretion increased during the observation period. These distinct measurements help separate the infused molecule from subsequent metabolic handling.[2][1]

The paper's pharmacokinetic reference is intravenous and comes from a small healthy-volunteer group. PinPoint also permits subcutaneous and intramuscular recording, but those options do not supply separate route studies. The library's quarter-hour input retains the route-extrapolation qualification when used for a modeled curve.[2][1]

Cited amounts

The library records 1200 mg as a supplier catalog package amount. This is the total listed in that presentation, not an amount selected for administration. No personal dosing range is inferred from it.[1][3]

Half-life and timing

A 0.235-hour scalar translates to 14.1 minutes for total glutathione. After two model intervals, 28.2 minutes have elapsed and 25% remains; after five, 70.5 minutes have elapsed and 3.125% remains. Repeating the source's separate seven-minute reduced-glutathione value would give a different axis. Those are different measured quantities, not alternate spellings of one input. The bar also does not establish subcutaneous or intramuscular bioavailability, which the intravenous source does not report.[1][5]

Reconstitution

Using 1,200 mg as a catalog total and a hypothetical 2 mL final volume gives 600 mg/mL. In that arithmetic system, an illustrative 0.1 mL represents 60 mg. The concentration is merely the quotient of stated inputs; it does not establish that this preparation is appropriate, feasible, or instructed by a product label. The example demonstrates how larger package masses scale the same equation while preserving the separate questions of formulation, clinical amount, and route-specific evidence.[3]

Tracking it in PinPoint

From a reference to a record

Built for peptide, TRT, and GLP-1 schedules. Set up your vial in seconds, log every dose, and see your modeled levels between doses. Enter vial size in mg, mcg, or IU and water volume for instant concentration and syringe units. Track vials and prefilled pens side by side.[4]

The Home curve models your levels between doses from published half-life data. Drag to scrub modeled values at any timestamp, or preview 30 days of a dose pattern. Ask PinPoint provides educational reference with sources; it never recommends a dose or a schedule change. These features record and visualize entered information, with the limits of each compound's source data still applying.

Frequently asked questions

Which glutathione half-life does the guide display?
It uses the library's total-glutathione input of 0.235 hours, or 14.1 minutes. The source separately reports about seven minutes for reduced glutathione. The model does not combine those two measurements into one claim or infer other-route bioavailability.[1][2]
Why distinguish total and reduced glutathione in the half-life discussion?
The source reports approximately 14.1 minutes for total glutathione and approximately seven minutes for reduced glutathione. PinPoint's scalar follows the total measurement. Combining the numbers without identifying the measured quantity would conceal what the reference actually describes.[1][5]
Does glutathione's large catalog mass imply a different conversion rule?
The arithmetic is still amount divided by volume. A larger numerator changes the quotient but does not establish a clinical amount or a preparation method. The 1,200 mg package remains a supplier listing rather than a human dosing result.[1][5]
Can a peptide tracker app record Glutathione?
PinPoint's compound library includes Glutathione. The app description covers logging compound, dose, site, and pain level, as well as viewing modeled levels between recorded doses. The curve uses published reference inputs and does not account for individual variation. The tracker records the schedule entered by its user; it does not choose a dose or recommend a schedule change.[1][4]
