Somatropin guide

Somatropin is recombinant human growth hormone studied in adults and children with growth hormone deficiency.[2] PinPoint's library uses a subcutaneous pharmacokinetic reference and a documented cartridge amount for tracking and conversion.[1]

Read the record in context

Somatropin's 12 mg package is a two-chamber cartridge. That detail prevents the page from assigning a generic vial-water example to it. The three-hour reference is specifically subcutaneous, with adult peak-time context recorded separately in the library's prescribing-information note.[1]

What the research says

The Genotropin label describes subcutaneous pharmacokinetic studies in adults with growth hormone deficiency. Investigators measured serum growth hormone after injection and compared systemic availability with intravenous exposure. Approximately 80% bioavailability and a peak around six hours were reported in this defined adult population.[2][1]

The source reports a three-hour half-life after subcutaneous administration in growth-hormone-deficient adults, compared with about 0.4 hours after intravenous administration in healthy adults. It attributes the longer subcutaneous time course to slow absorption from the injection site. Both route and population accompany those estimates.[2]

The label also compares exposure from different solution concentrations in adults and children. It explicitly states that bioequivalence data are unavailable between the 12 mg/mL formulation and two other studied concentrations. The 12 mg cartridge package is verified independently of assuming all formulations share identical exposure.[2]

Cited amounts

The library records 12 mg as a labeled package amount. This is the total listed in that presentation, not an amount selected for administration. No personal dosing range is inferred from it.[1][3]

Half-life and timing

With three hours as its scalar, the model reaches one quarter at six hours and one thirty-second at 15 hours. The source's mean peak time of about 5.9 hours describes another process and is not substituted for the half-life. The simple bar begins with an abstract starting amount instead of modeling cartridge preparation or absorption after administration. Its 15-hour endpoint does not measure the duration of a hormone response, establish complete personal clearance, or suggest a schedule for recording another amount.[1][5]

Reconstitution

The library supplies 12 mg per two-chamber cartridge but does not give a final liquid volume for this worked example. Without that denominator, a specific concentration would be invented. Package-count arithmetic is still possible: two such cartridges contain 24 mg in total, and three contain 36 mg. These totals describe stock, not amounts selected for administration. The cartridge's own instructions retain control of preparation; this guide does not replace them with a familiar two-milliliter assumption taken from a generic peptide-vial example.[3]

Tracking it in PinPoint

From a reference to a record

Built for peptide, TRT, and GLP-1 schedules. Set up your vial in seconds, log every dose, and see your modeled levels between doses. Enter vial size in mg, mcg, or IU and water volume for instant concentration and syringe units. Track vials and prefilled pens side by side.[4]

The Home curve models your levels between doses from published half-life data. Drag to scrub modeled values at any timestamp, or preview 30 days of a dose pattern. Ask PinPoint provides educational reference with sources; it never recommends a dose or a schedule change. These features record and visualize entered information, with the limits of each compound's source data still applying.

Frequently asked questions

What is HGH in this peptide library?
This guide uses somatropin for the recombinant human growth hormone entry. The library records a three-hour subcutaneous reference and a 12 mg cartridge package. Growth hormone-releasing peptides are separate compounds, not alternate names for this hormone.[1][2]
Can the somatropin cartridge total alone establish mg/mL?
Twelve milligrams is an amount without a liquid-volume denominator. The library snapshot used here does not provide the final volume for the example. A calculator therefore cannot establish a sourced concentration from that total alone.[1][5]
Is a growth hormone-releasing peptide another name for somatropin?
The library identifies somatropin as recombinant human growth hormone. Its secretagogue and GHRH-analog entries describe other compounds. A shared growth-hormone search topic does not make their package facts, identities, or timing references equivalent.[1][5]
Can a peptide tracker app record Somatropin?
PinPoint's compound library includes Somatropin. The app description covers logging compound, dose, site, and pain level, as well as viewing modeled levels between recorded doses. The curve uses published reference inputs and does not account for individual variation. The tracker records the schedule entered by its user; it does not choose a dose or recommend a schedule change.[1][4]
