Dose tracking

Saxenda dose tracker

Liraglutide is the active ingredient in Saxenda, a daily injection with a weekly escalation reference in its label. A Saxenda dose tracker therefore has two time scales to preserve: each daily injection and the prescribed phase that spans several days. PinPoint supports daily scheduling, injection logs, reminders, and titration phases. This page describes the adult label sequence and the recordkeeping features that can accompany it. Daily injections, weekly phase changes

The Saxenda label begins at 0.6 mg each day for the first week. The subsequent weekly steps are 1.2 mg, 1.8 mg, and 2.4 mg, followed by 3 mg daily from week five. For adults, the lower amounts are escalation doses and 3 mg is the maintenance amount. The label allows a delay of approximately one additional week when an increased dose is not tolerated. Saxenda label

Children and adolescents have separate escalation and maintenance provisions in the same prescribing information. This adult table is not intended to collapse those differences. A page that labels all rows simply as a weekly dose would also be misleading: the amount is administered daily, even though the reference phase changes occur at weekly intervals. Each table column retains its time unit. Saxenda label

A calendar built from individual entries

A daily reminder identifies a planned time, while a logged injection records an event. PinPoint supports both. It can store the compound, amount, site, and pain level with an injection, and earlier doses can be backfilled. The color-coded calendar offers a way to review the sequence without requiring every date to be reconstructed from memory. App features

Titration phases can represent step-ups and step-downs in the plan. Daily notes and side-effect severity entries add a separate place for observations. The point of the combined record is clarity about the entries and dates. It does not turn a repeated observation into a diagnosis or authorize the next phase independently of the prescribing clinician. App features

A prefilled pen is not a generic vial

The labeled Saxenda presentation is a 3 mL prefilled pen containing liraglutide at 6 mg/mL. It delivers the labeled dose settings listed in the prescribing information. PinPoint can track prefilled pens alongside vials and estimates when stock will run out. A supply record can therefore retain the actual container details rather than describing every medicine as a bottle with a guessed concentration. Saxenda labelApp features

For comparison of units only, imagine a separately supplied compounded liraglutide solution with 6 mg in a final volume of 2 mL. That hypothetical concentration is 3 mg/mL. Twenty U-100 units represents 0.20 mL and contains 0.6 mg in this arithmetic example. It is not the concentration of the labeled Saxenda pen, an extraction instruction, or proof that the compounded product is equivalent. The unit calculator performs the conversion from known inputs. What a model adds to the history

PinPoint models levels between doses from published half-life data and can show modeled values at a selected timestamp. A preview can visualize a dose pattern over time. These displays use population averages, so they cannot measure personal medication levels or establish a reason for a symptom. The original dates, amounts, and notes remain the factual record to review, with export available in PDF, CSV, and JSON formats. App features

Questions

Is Saxenda a weekly injection?

No. The label describes daily administration. The escalation table changes the daily amount at weekly intervals, which is a different statement from giving one injection each week. Saxenda label

Can the app help record site rotation?

PinPoint injection logging includes the site, and its site-rotation feature suggests where to inject next. The medication instructions remain the reference for the permitted anatomical areas. App featuresSaxenda label
