Questions & evidence

Does tirzepatide make you tired?

Fatigue is listed in the Zepbound adverse-reaction table for tirzepatide. In pooled Study 1 and Study 2, the reported percentages were 5%, 6%, and 7% at the 5, 10, and 15 mg doses, compared with 3% on placebo. The table groups fatigue with several related terms. That evidence supports saying tiredness-related events were reported; it does not explain every experience of low energy during treatment. Zepbound label

Fatigue is a grouped label category

The footnote defines the category to include asthenia, fatigue, lethargy, and malaise. The percentage therefore represents that grouped reporting category, not only the exact word tired. A reader comparing a personal description with the table needs this context because everyday wording and adverse-event coding are not identical labels for an experience. The published number is tied to the definition used in the source. Zepbound label

The table pools adults with obesity or overweight from Study 1 and Study 2. Its percentages describe participants reporting an event in those groups. They do not count the number of tired days per week, the time of day a symptom occurred, or the duration of a particular episode. Those would be different measurements requiring different evidence. Avoid importing timing from another symptom

The same Zepbound adverse-reaction section says that most nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea events occurred during escalation and decreased over time. It does not make that statement about the fatigue row. Applying the timing sentence to all adverse reactions would extend the source beyond what it actually reports. This page keeps the fatigue evidence and the gastrointestinal timing observation separate. Zepbound label

A table ordered by assigned dose is also not a diary of one person moving through successive weeks. The increasing percentages across the fatigue columns describe different assigned groups in the pooled data. They do not supply a schedule predicting exactly when an individual will feel tired after a dose or how long that feeling will last. Zepbound label

Why another tirzepatide table may look different

The current Mounjaro label contains SURPASS-CVOT, a distinct cardiovascular-outcomes study in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease, described in section 14.6. Its adverse-reaction summary reports fatigue in 10% of exposed adults. That is a separate population and evidence set from the Zepbound pool, rather than an additional percentage to average into the table above. Mounjaro label

Both labels caution that rates from differently conducted studies cannot be directly compared and may not reflect rates in practice. This limits what can be concluded from a search result quoting one percentage without its study name. The product, population, and reporting category need to travel with the number for the number to retain its meaning. Mounjaro labelZepbound label

A dated note can describe the experience more clearly

PinPoint supports daily notes and side effects with severity ratings alongside the dose history. Injection records include amount, date, site, and pain level, and earlier doses can be backfilled. These features can preserve a description of what was noticed at a particular time without the tracker asserting why it happened. A calendar and an observation serve different documentation roles. App features

Modeled levels use published population-average half-life information and are not a personal blood measurement. A low point or high point on that graph cannot diagnose fatigue. Exported PDF, CSV, or JSON records can preserve the logged sequence for review. Talk to the prescriber about new, persistent, or concerning tiredness. App features

Questions

What percentage reported fatigue with Zepbound?

In pooled Study 1 and Study 2, the grouped fatigue category was reported in 5%, 6%, and 7% at 5, 10, and 15 mg, versus 3% on placebo. Zepbound label

Does the label say exactly when tiredness will stop?

The cited table does not provide an individual duration or recovery timetable for fatigue. Its timing discussion about escalation specifically refers to nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Zepbound label
